Michelle Wieneke APRN
Michelle has over 15 years of experience providing primary care as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Prior to that she received her undergraduate degree from Oral Roberts University in 2005. As a registered nurse, she practiced at Mercy Hospital as well as with an Internal Medicine/ Pediatrics physician in a clinic. She went on to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing from Saint Louis University and began practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2008.
Her passion is to help each person reach their wellness goals in a holistic manner (mind, body, and spirit). She believes a health care provider is a partner with the patient on their journey to optimal wellness through various avenues. The traditional health care model has created difficulty for providers to spend the appropriate amount of time with each person.
Michelle chose to implement the Direct Primary Care Model into her practice because she wants to be able to take the time that is needed with each person to help them reach their wellness goals.
Michelle also loves to spend time with her husband and two children as they enjoy the beautiful community that we live in. They enjoy going to the lake as well as camping in the various campgrounds in the area.
What is Direct Primary Care
Triune Wellness is a primary care community based on the Direct Primary Care (DPC) health model. This is an innovative alternative payment model that improves access to high function healthcare with a simple, flat, affordable membership fee. There are no fee-for-service payments or third party (insurance) billing.
A shortage in patient centered, affordable, cost-efficient health care has been created by the evolution of the health care field. The DPC model focuses on providing affordable primary care. The patient has access to health care through in person visits, telehealth visits, phone calls, text messages and email. Triune Wellness is focused on a partnership with the patient in order to optimize their health.
Direct primary care cultivates an enduring and trusting relationship between the patient and his or her primary care provider. Patients pay a monthly membership fee and have access to their provider when they need them.
